Caroline Harrison Garden Design

Initial Visit

This is a free one-two hour consultation where I can view the site and we can discuss your requirements and budget for your garden. After this meeting I will send you my proposal in writing along with a firm quotation for all design work needed.

Site Survey

This is an accurate plan of your garden, showing all level changes, garden structures and existing trees. I can provide a full site survey of simple gardens, but would recommend the use of a local surveyor for larger gardens with distinct slopes or large numbers of trees.

Planting Plan

A planting plan provides a detailed guide to where each tree, shrub or plant will be situated within the garden. The plan predicts how much space each plant will need for the next 3-5 years. Plants are chosen to suit the aspect (how much sun) soil conditions and style of the garden. Plants are sourced through local trade nurseries offering a wide variety of plants and a considerable saving to you. Planting plans are also available as a separate service and do not need to be in conjunction with a full design.

Designs can be illustrated by 3D drawings

Design Stage

Initially I will produce a sketch of the proposed design for your approval. I will then provide you with a hand-drawn design, which can be shown in a 3-D form and in colour. Once you are completely happy with the design I can provide the necessary construction drawings and plans.
